Asier Madariaga presents the BH2C at the REFHYNE 2 project workshop held at the EIC.

On Monday 22 June, Asier Madariaga, Head of Business Development at ALBA Emission Free Energy, presented the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C) within the second workshop of the REFHYNE 2 project, organised by Concawe and hosted by Repsol and ALBA on 22 and 23 June at the Energy Intelligence Centre (EIC). This project, in which Tecnalia is participating, is developing a 100 MW PEM electrolyser at the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Rheinland in Germany. On the first day of the event, Asier Madariaga outlined the objectives and vision of the BH2C for the green hydrogen sector in the Basque Country, and the key milestones and projects being taken forward within this ecosystem. This was followed by a presentation by Iñigo Ortega, head of hydrogen systems at Tecnalia, who outlined the objectives and initial results of the collaborative R&D projects SINTETIK, HYNNOVA and H2SKID, all of which are part of the BH2C. Finally, a networking session was organised, offering participants the opportunity to develop contacts and exchange ideas.
