Aitor Arzuaga, president of the BH2C, shares the experience of the Basque ecosystem at the Hydrogen Day 2026 of the Galician Hydrogen Association (AGH2).

Aitor Arzuaga, CEO of Alba Emission Free Energy and president of the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C), has taken part in Hydrogen Day 2026, an event organised and held in A Coruña on 1 October by the Galician Hydrogen Association (AGH2) to examine the role of renewable hydrogen in sustainable mobility and in the industrial and energy transition. During his presentation, Mr Arzuaga highlighted the importance of developing a comprehensive hydrogen ecosystem, which had driven the creation of the BH2C, and outlined the key progress made to date in the field of mobility, one of the corridor’s strategic priorities. The event brought together representatives from companies, technology centres, public authorities and manufacturers to discuss technological advances, innovation projects and real-world examples of the application of hydrogen in land and maritime transport, and culminated with the Hydrogen Parade, a display of hydrogen-powered vehicles through the city’s streets.
