Alba presents the potential of hydrogen at a meeting of the Maritime Decarbonisation Working Group of the Basque Maritime Forum.
Last Friday, 2 October, the Basque Maritime Forum convened its Working Group on Maritime Decarbonisation and New Fuels to analyse the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition in the maritime sector. During the event, Asier Madariaga, from Alba Emission Free Energy, gave a presentation entitled ‘Alternative fuels: a production perspective’, in which he offered insights into the role of alternative fuels from the point of view of production and energy supply. The presentation included an update on the current status of hydrogen production projects, as well as an overview of the initiatives being taken forward within the BH2C, highlighting the potential of hydrogen and its derivatives to contribute to the decarbonisation of maritime and port activities.
