The 7th Meeting of the Use in Industry Vertical of the BH2C was held on Thursday, 25 June, at the Energy Intelligence Centre (EIC). The meeting of the Vertical, led by Sarralle and Sener, brought together around 30 people from the different member organisations. The day began with a presentation on the progress of the sector by its leaders. Following this, Helen Wittesjö, from GreenIron, offered an insight into the potential of hydrogen for the decarbonisation of industrial processes, sharing the company’s experience in the production of DRI using renewable hydrogen. Next, Nagore Ormaza, from Sener, presented various alternatives for the decarbonisation of high-capacity thermal power stations through the use of hydrogen and renewable fuels. After the coffee break, Iban Vicario, from Tecnalia, updated those present on the progress of the H2AL project, which focuses on the development of hydrogen combustion technologies for the aluminium industry, whilst Itsaso Auzmendi, from Sarralle, presented the H2SKID project, an experimental portable electrolyser for the production and demonstration of renewable hydrogen in industrial applications. |
