Team Engineering launches Hyteam to offer engineering and consulting services in the field of hydrogen.
Team Engineering has launched Hyteam, a new spin-off specialising in hydrogen technologies offering engineering services in the field of hydrogen to industry, government institutions and other organisations. Hyteam builds on Team's experience in the sector and spans the entire hydrogen value chain, from feasibility studies to project delivery, specialising in safety and storage. The Hyteam team is involved in numerous hydrogen projects with leading companies and organisations, as well as in collaborative research projects, including H2SALT and H2INTEGRA, both part of the BH2C.
Hyteam will support its customers in all aspects of the transition to renewable and low-carbon hydrogen. The company will provide advice on drawing up decarbonisation strategies and conducting feasibility studies, using its own HYBAR software and other commercial tools. It will also provide different types of engineering services depending on the stage of the project, from conceptual to detailed engineering for subsequent commissioning or construction.
In the field of safety, Hyteam will conduct safety studies in hydrogen working environments for regulatory and legislative compliance, designing the necessary preventive measures for the safe handling of hydrogen and ensuring the protection of the people and facilities involved and the surrounding environment. The spin-off has its own software, H2 Safety Distances, for setting safety distances in hydrogen plants, and is developing a specific tool, H2 Leak/Sentinel, for detecting and locating hydrogen leaks in industrial environments.
With respect to hydrogen storage, Hyteam has a team of engineers and geologists who are experts in large, medium and small-scale underground hydrogen storage. This enables them to offer geological and geotechnical services, engineering and project management, and advice during construction.
