Sener, Sarralle and Ibil take part in an event on the future of the hydrogen market, organised by the Basque Technology Park.
On Wednesday, 26 November, the Basque Hydrogen Corridor - BH2C took part in the conference ‘The future is already business: Hydrogen Technologies’, organised by the Basque Technology Park. The conference highlighted the importance of hydrogen technologies in successfully addressing decarbonisation, and the opportunities that this sector offers Basque companies.
At the event, Jone Irigoyen, Head of Hydrogen Projects at BASQUENERGY Cluster, outlined the main initiatives being taken forward in the field of hydrogen in the Basque Country, with particular reference to the BH2C and the progress being made with projects. The conference then featured three case studies from local companies that have already launched projects in this sector.
Eduardo García, Managing Director of Ibil, spoke about the hydrogen infrastructure the company is setting up together with Petronor at the Abanto Campus of the Basque Technology Park. Itsaso Auzmendi, Hydrogen Business Line Manager at Sarralle, then presented the H-Acero project for the decarbonisation of the steel sector using hydrogen. Finally, Ulises Cano, Head of Hydrogen Technology Development at Sener, explained the Basque engineering company's fuel cell solutions for decarbonising industrial consumption.
