Sarralle presents its Hydrogen-Ready burners for the steel industry.
Sarralle has taken a step forward in the development of solutions that reduce emissions, optimise energy efficiency and are operationally viable with the implementation of Hydrogen-Ready combustion solutions for various steelmaking equipment, such as ladle and tundish preheaters.
For years, Sarralle has been supplying this type of equipment, which has traditionally run on fossil fuels such as natural gas and led to significant CO₂ and NO₂ emissions and major energy losses. In the steel industry, ladle preheaters and tundish preheating/heating systems play a key role in ensuring steel quality, preventing thermal shock losses, extending refractory life and minimising defects in continuous casting.
Sarralle's Hydrogen-Ready burners are fully compatible with natural gas and hydrogen, as well as any blend of the two between 0 and 100%. Available in a power range from 25 kW to 5 MW, the Basque company's burners are designed to operate at temperatures of up to 1,250ºC and with fuel savings of up to 50%, with near-zero NOx emissions.
