Petronor's e-fuels plant in the Port of Bilbao will be operational in 2027.

Elixabete Etxanobe, Head of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, has visited the e-fuel plant that Petronor is building in the Port of Bilbao. The visit coincided with the arrival by sea of the 1,200-tonne mechanical base structure on which all the equipment will be mounted at the Petronor terminal. This prefabricated structure will serve as the basis for the production of e-fuels using captured CO2 and renewable hydrogen produced by the 10 MW electrolyser also being set up in the port.

With an investment of 146 million euros, the e-fuel plant will have a production capacity of 2,000 tonnes per year, and will be fully operational in early 2027.
