The Irizar i6S Efficient FCEV hydrogen-powered coach receives the Environmental Product Declaration.

Irizar has announced that its i6S Efficient FCEV hydrogen-powered coach has received the Environmental Product Declaration, in accordance with ISO 14025 standards. Following a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the vehicle, its environmental impact has been measured from the beginning through to the end of its useful life.

Irizar's hydrogen fuel cell coach has once more proven its efficiency and the company's commitment to a more sustainable and safer future for mobility. The i6S Efficient FCEV hydrogen-powered coach joins the i4 and i6S Efficient models, which had already been certified with the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

The Irizar i6S Efficient FCEV coach is a 12.90 m long, 47-seater vehicle equipped with a 360 kW CETRAX2ECO engine that consumes 5.7 kg/100 km. Over a 25-year service life, it is expected to be capable of covering 2,500,000 km. The vehicle is manufactured at three plants in the Basque Country: Beheko Soroa and Lezeta in Ormaiztegi and a third plant in Salbatore, Beasain.
