The General Director of BASQUENERGY Cluster presents the BH2C at the H2Excellence European Hydrogen Academy.
José Ignacio Hormaeche, General Director of BASQUENERGY Cluster, has given a presentation on the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C) initiative under the title “Building a Green Hydrogen Valley through network projects and development”, at the H2Excellence European Hydrogen Academy international conference held in Lisbon from 20 to 22 May. During his presentation, José Ignacio explained the key factors behind the success of the BH2C and green hydrogen development in the Basque Country: the leadership and driver effect of a company such as Petronor; the strategic location as an international transport hub connected to the Port of Bilbao; public support policies within the framework of the Basque Hydrogen Strategy; and the existence of a strong industrial base capable of developing equipment and solutions in this field. He also outlined the five verticals, or activity areas, into which the 62 ongoing projects of the BH2C are organised, and some of their most significant milestones to date.
