The BH2C welcomes a delegation from Upper Austria led by its Minister for Economy, Research and Energy.
The BH2C, the EIC Foundation and the BASQUENERGY Cluster have welcomed a delegation from the Upper Austria region, led by Markus Achleitner, Minister for Economy, Research and Energy, and including more than 20 representatives from companies and R&D centres from the region. During the event, held on Tuesday 28 April at the EIC, Asier Madariaga outlined the activities and capabilities of the EIC, as well as the work of the BH2C and Alba/Petronor. The delegation also had the opportunity to learn more about the hydrogen projects currently being taken forward in the Basque Country. The event was attended by Mikel Amundarain from the Basque Energy Agency (EVE), who gave the welcome address, and representatives from the companies Nortegas and H2SITE, who presented their hydrogen projects and technologies. Following the event, the delegation visited the EIC facilities, the laboratories currently under construction and the hydrogen refuelling station which is nearing completion. The delegation is currently travelling around the Basque Country to visit Tecnalia and Cidetec, amongst other organisations. The delegation comprises experts from the Energieinstitut an der JKU, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, the Interdisciplinary Transformation University, LAT Nitrogen, RAG Austria AG and Energie AG, whose CEO, Leonhard Schitter, was also present.
