The BH2C meets with a delegation from the Flemish Government to present key hydrogen projects in the Basque Country.

On 3 November, the EIC - Energy Intelligence welcomed a delegation from Flanders Investment & Trade, part of the Flemish Government, on a visit to learn about the objectives of the BH2C as a hydrogen hub in the Basque Country. The members of the delegation were also briefed on the key projects currently being taken forward within the framework of the EIC Foundation, ranging from the production of green hydrogen to its use for the decarbonisation of industry and mobility, including important initiatives for its transport and storage.

During the visit, Joseba Garaigordobil, Director General of the EIC Foundation, and Asier Madariaga, of the BH2C, met with Sven Verstrepen, Scientific and Technological Advisor, and Dirk Schamphelaere, Economic and Commercial Advisor at Flanders Investment & Trade.

The visit formed part of an agenda that included various visits to unique infrastructures and key players in the field of hydrogen in the Basque Country. The purpose of the delegation's visit was to gain first-hand knowledge of the various projects being taken forward in the field of energy transition and to explore possible avenues for collaboration.
