BH2C at the European Hydrogen Energy Conference 2026 in Seville.

The BH2C attended the biennial European Hydrogen Energy Conference (EHEC) 2026, held in Seville from 11 to 13 March, with its own stand, as part of the joint stand organised by the BASQUENERGY Cluster, where it was able to showcase its members’ most significant achievements. In addition to the BH2C itself, 18 member organisations were also present at the event, including BASQUENERGY Cluster, Alba, Ampo, Bureau Veritas, CIDETEC, EHU, Enagás, EVE, H2SITE, Ikerlan, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Petronor, Sener, Siderex, Tamoin, Tecnalia, Tubacex and Tubos Reunidos.

The Japan-Basque Country conference, organised by the BTI in collaboration with JETRO and JH2A, took place on the second day of the fair, with a view to promoting collaboration between the hydrogen sectors of the two countries. On Thursday, a session was also held to present the results of the H2SALT project, which focuses on hydrogen storage in salt caverns. The project, part of the BH2C initiative, is led by Team Engineering, whilst the consortium also features Tamoin, Tubacez, Tubos Reunidos, Siderex and BASQUENERGY Cluster.
