The BH2C, in conjunction with the BASQUENERGY Cluster, organises a mission to the HEAVENN hydrogen valley in the Netherlands.
The BH2C, in collaboration with the BASQUENERGY Cluster, organised a business mission to the north of the Netherlands on 18 and 19 May, to coincide with the World Hydrogen Summit (WHS) in Rotterdam. The delegation included representatives from CEIT, the Basque Energy Agency (EVE), H2SITE, Hyteam, IBIL, LRQA, Nordex Electrolyzers, Parke and Petronor. During the mission, the companies visited some of the flagship projects of HEAVENN, Europe’s first subsidised Hydrogen Valley and one of the most pioneering green hydrogen programmes. Among the highlights was a visit to the HyStock project, being taken forward by EnergyStock BV (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gasunie), where four salt caverns are being developed for large-scale underground hydrogen storage. We also visited Green Planet Mobility, where we were shown the transformation of a conventional service station into a fully integrated energy hub. The mission has been a great opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen international collaboration and learn from pioneering hydrogen initiatives in Europe.
