ALBA Emission Free Energy, approved as a new member of the BH2C at the latest Board meeting.

Last Tuesday, 21 July, the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C) held its 21st quarterly Board meeting at the Energy Intelligence Centre (EIC). During the meeting, ALBA Emission Free Energy, the Petronor subsidiary, was approved as a new member. ALBA was set up to promote the decarbonisation of industry in the Basque Country by developing projects related to renewable hydrogen, renewable fuels and sustainable mobility, amongst other initiatives. The company is currently collaborating in the construction of a 10 MW electrolyser through the company Basque Hydrogen, which will supply hydrogen as feedstock to the synthetic fuels demonstration plant managed by Synkedia, also under construction. ALBA is also working on the IPCEI project 100 MW electrolyser for the decarbonisation of the Petronor refinery in Muskiz, and the supply of renewable hydrogen to other off-takers, in this case through the company Bay of Biscay Hydrogen.
