Sener moves forward with the design of the 1.25 MW AEM stack for the H2SKID project.
As part of the development of next-generation electrolysis technologies, Sener has taken a key step forward in the engineering and advanced design of an AEM stack that can be scaled up to 1.25 MW, building on the upscaling of a previous 50 kW design developed as part of the IPCEI project.
To do so, the team has conducted/produced:
- a fluid-thermal-mechanical-electrical modelling of the stack;
- CFD simulations of the unit cell; and
- an advanced design of gas-liquid separators for larger stacks.
These advances reinforce Sener’s engineering capabilities to support technology developers in the industrial scale-up of high-power AEM electrolysers, contributing to the development of more efficient, durable and competitive solutions for the production of renewable hydrogen.
