Petronor, committed to young talent in the science and technology sector in the Basque Country.

Petronor has awarded 15 scholarships to students with a view to helping young people from Muskiz, Abanto-Zierbena and Zierbena to expand their academic knowledge in vocational training fields linked to the science and technology sector. These grants aim to promote and facilitate vocational training as an educational option and, as a result, improve the employability and integration of these people into the labour market.

The vocational training scholarships offer a total of 1,000 euros each. In addition, Alejandro Vega (Advanced Vocational Training Qualification in Industrial Automation and Robotics) and David Merino (Advanced Vocational Training Qualification in Web Application Development) have received a bonus of 500 euros for obtaining the best academic results in their studies, exceeding an average grade of 8.5 in both cases.

Meanwhile, Aitor Arzuaga, director of Petronor Alba Emission Free, and Elías Unzueta, engineering manager at Petronor, attended the second edition of the Master's Degree in Continuing Education in Innovation and Technology at the University of Deusto, run in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. During their presentations, the two speakers outlined Petronor's transformation strategy to the students, and provided them with an overview of the cutting-edge technologies used by the company. The course, part of the ‘Bizkaia with the talent’ programme, is designed to train professionals with a cross-disciplinary and global vision of technology as a tool for creating business value through innovation.
