José Ignacio Zudaire presents the BH2C at the trade union trialogue on European energy and industrial policy.

The event "The future of European energy and industrial policy: a trialogue on trade union perspectives in Germany, France and Spain", organised by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation on 12 and 13 March in Madrid, featured the presence of José Ignacio Zudaire, President of the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C) and Deputy CEO of Petronor.

Mr. Zudaire spoke on the last panel of the event, where he presented the BH2C as an example of an ecosystem enabling the energy transition, and gave his vision of the future for decarbonising industry to ensure competitiveness.

The BH2C was presented as an example of regional development, showcasing the lessons learned to date and outlining the challenges to be met, both at national and European/international level, to successfully promote an exchange between the trade unions from the three countries present.

The day provided for early-stage dialogue and networking among trade union stakeholders from Germany, France and Spain, identifying common perspectives and positions on the transformation of power generation, industrial production and conversion towards climate neutrality and European energy infrastructure, with a special focus on the planned green hydrogen connections between the three countries.
