Irizar obtains funding from the PERTE for the Development of the Electric and Connected Vehicle to develop hydrogen in the field of mobility.

The Ministry of Industry has announced the definitive distribution of the funds for the PERTE (Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation) for the Electric and Connected Vehicle, from which Irizar has benefitted in terms of an increase in the amount awarded.

Irizar's Capital project has seen an increase in funding to be received from the Spanish Government, albeit to a lesser extent than other proposals. The final resolution grants it 21.2 million euros, 0.6% more than initially awarded, for the development of 100% electric buses and electric industrial vehicles to achieve zero-emission connected transport. Its proposal also envisages the use of hydrogen for connective mobility solutions. Irizar is leading this project as part of a consortium of 21 companies from seven autonomous regions. 61% of these companies are SMEs.
