The H2 Intervalley Alliance, of which the BH2C is a member, expands to include the Portuguese Association for the Promotion of Hydrogen.

The H2 Intervalley Alliance, of which the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C) is a member, has taken a decisive step towards expanding its scope to the Iberian Peninsula following the incorporation of the Associação Portuguesa para a Promoção do Hidrogénio / Portuguese Association for the Promotion of Hydrogen (APPH). The accession was formalised on Tuesday 3 February in Huelva, at the National Hydrogen Congress, and marks a milestone in establishing a shared strategy between Spain and Portugal for the industrial development of renewable hydrogen. The agreement was signed by José Ignacio Zudaire, representing the H2 Intervalley Alliance and recently appointed CEO of Petronor, and by José João Campos Rodrigues, president of the APPH. The H2 Intervalley Alliance agreement dates back to the EHEC 2024 Congress held in Bilbao in 2024, and was formally established on 4 February at the II National Green Hydrogen Congress in Huelva.
