Enagás obtains the highest rating (A List) in the CDP Climate Change ranking for the fifth year running.

For the fifth year running, Enagás is among the world's leading companies to be included in the A List of CDP Climate Change, the highest rating on this annual climate action index. Maintaining the highest rating in this ranking, which includes more than 24,800 companies worldwide, puts Enagás among the world's most advanced companies in sustainability and environmental management, excelling in areas such as leadership and transparency in emissions reduction, management of climate change risks and opportunities, and promotion of a low-carbon economy.

Enagás has achieved a 25% reduction in its GHG emissions since 2018, exceeding its target and moving towards its goal of being Net Zero by 2040 for direct emissions (Scope 1) and indirect emissions associated with electricity consumption (Scope 2). In addition, it has set a target of achieving net zero by 2050 for Scope 3 emissions, which affect the company's value chain.

With this new commitment, Enagás is not only transforming its own operations, but also driving the decarbonisation of the energy sector as a whole. The company is making progress in the development of the European H2med corridor and the Spanish Hydrogen Backbone Network, among other infrastructures, which will be key for the decarbonisation of industry.

In this context, Enagás has indicated that the H2med project will be ready by the end of 2030, ruling out any delays. According to Arturo Gonzalo Aizpiri, CEO of Enagás, the final date will depend on the connection dates of the national networks of which it will form part.
