Seminar in Tecnalia.
News

The Cervera H24NEWAGE project, in collaboration with the Vocational Training sector, has held a seminar on Vocational Training in Hydrogen.

Tecnalia has been the venue for a seminar on Vocational Training in hydrogen, attended by over 25 teachers from the Basque Country Vocational Training sector (Tknika). At the same time, this same event was also run on the same day at the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation, in collaboration with the CIRCE Research Centre (a H24NEWAGE project partner) and the Pirámide Vocational Training Centre (Huesca).

The Cervera H24NEWAGE project, coordinated by Tecnalia and funded by CDTI Innovation, has conducted a study on the profiles that will be required by industry in the future. In doing so, a demand for a technical profile associated with vocational training has been identified.

The H24NEWAGE project, Somorrostro Training Centre and the Pirámide Vocational Training Centre are working together to incorporate hydrogen into vocational training. In this respect, an online pilot course will be run in June to gather feedback from VT teaching staff around Spain, and the Office of Vocational Training of the Basque Government recently signed an agreement with the BH2C to promote training in hydrogen within the Basque Country vocational training system.

The day ended with a visit to the new Tecnalia hydrogen laboratories, and a session to identify opportunities for collaboration between Vocational Training and Tecnalia.
