Ampo honoured with the "Made in the Basque Country" Award at the 2025 Basque Business Night.

Ampo has been honoured with the ‘Made in Euskadi’ Award, presented by the Basque Business and Society Foundation at the 2025 Basque Business Night. The award is in recognition of the Guipúzcoa-based valve manufacturer’s achievements over time, international outlook, commitment to innovation, customer focus and strong ties with the Basque Country.

The award was accepted by Iban Ferreira, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AMPO, during the 34th edition of the ‘Basque Business Night’, held on 3 November at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. The annual event brings together representatives from the Basque business world and public institutions. In his acceptance speech, Mr Ferreira highlighted AMPO's values and 60-year history, which has enabled it to develop into an end-to-end engineering company for fluid handling systems in key energy sectors such as hydrogen. The event concluded with some closing observations by Mikel Jauregui Letemendia, Basque Government Minister for Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability, who highlighted the importance of these awards in promoting and recognising Basque business talent.

On another issue, Jon Gorrotxategi, Ampo Vice President of Sales, has given an interview to the OGN Energy Media ADIPEC magazine. In the article, Mr Gorrotxategi highlights the company's presence in the Gulf region through innovation and local expertise, and discusses Ampo's commitment to the energy transition and its efforts to develop advanced valve solutions specifically designed for low-carbon energy applications, including hydrogen, carbon capture, biofuels and synthetic fuels.
