Tamoin joins the European UnLOHCked project, led by the University of the Basque Country (EHU), to promote innovative clean hydrogen solutions.
Tamoin has announced that it has joined the European UnLOHCked consortium, a project being conducted within the Horizon Europe programme and co-ordinated by the University of the Basque Country. The project, supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, brings together industrial partners, universities and research centres from Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany and South Africa, with a view to developing an innovative technology for the dehydrogenation of liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC). Through the use of advanced catalysts and integrated systems, the project is looking to improve the thermal efficiency, catalytic stability and productivity of this process. As a partner in the UnLOHCked project, Tamoin will play a key role in the modelling and design of the dehydrogenation reactor; the demonstration of the LOHC dehydrogenation plant; and contributing to the thermal integration of the plant with a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC), enabling efficient hydrogen and electricity generation.
