Participation in the RIS3 Steering Group and the latest news on the BH2C as a strategic initiative.

The latest meeting of the RIS3 Steering Group was held on Friday, 24 February. In the meeting, an update was given on the number of members and projects of the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C), which has increased by 4 and 8 respectively over the last year, and on access to funding programmes for BH2C projects. Additionally, the general lines of the 2023 Business Plan were outlined and details were provided on the initiatives being taken forward as part of the strategic positioning of the BH2C in terms of aid programmes, cooperation and partnerships, representation before public institutions and participation in national and international events.

The Energy Steering Group is the governance body of Energibasque, the strategy for the technological and industrial development of the Basque Country in the field of energy. The Group members include representation from the public administration, through the Basque Government Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment, SPRI, EVE and the Office of the Basque Premier; leading companies in the field of energy such as Idom, Iberdrola, Sener, Siemens-Gamesa and Petronor; the Basque Country Energy Cluster, which chairs the Steering Group; and representatives of the science and technology community specialising in energy (Tecnalia, CIC Energigune).
