Over 120 people attend the first technical workshop on electrolysers, jointly organised by the BH2C and the Energy Cluster.

The technical workshop on electrolysers, jointly organised by the Basque Hydrogen Corridor Association (BH2C) and the Energy Cluster, was held on 3 May at the BEC.

The session began with an update by Nora Castañeda from Sener on the latest developments in the IPCEI Hy2Tech project. Stephan Ladd from H-TEC then presented the organisation's modular PEM electrolysers, scalable up to 1MW and with ambitious targets for the coming years.

Pierre Gonsolin from Elogen and Itsaso Auzmendi from Sarralle jointly presented their PEM solution for green hydrogen generation for the steel industry, and Jakub Lodej from Stargate Hydrogen introduced the company's novel alkaline electrolyser technology based on ceramic materials.

The event included a coffee break, offering attendees the opportunity to network with representatives from Basque companies along the entire hydrogen value chain and speakers from leading international companies.

The second part of the workshop featured a presentation by Africa Castro from H2B2, focused on their PEM technology and the ongoing shift in the sector towards technologies such as AEM and SOEC. Additionally, William Boger from Enapter outlined his organisation's AEM electrolyser technology, which combines the advantages of alkaline and PEM type solutions, and finally, Carlos Gallego from H2PRO explained the innovative E-TAC electrolysis technology.

After the presentations, more than 20 B2B meetings were held, where the companies attending the event had the opportunity to establish partnerships with the speakers from electrolyser manufacturers.
