The first technical conference on Fuel Cells, organised by the BH2C and the Energy Cluster, brings together 60 specialists in the sector.

On 29th November, the Energy Intelligence Center (EIC) was the venue for the first technical conference on Fuel Cells, organised by the Basque Hydrogen Corridor Association (BH2C) in collaboration with the Energy Cluster. The conference featured six specialist speakers from the sector who provided an update on the current state of the art and market for hydrogen fuel cells.

After the opening and welcome address by Petronor Innovación and ACE, Tekniker began by contextualising the objectives, challenges and applications of fuel cells looking to the year 2030.

Ajusa provided a detailed overview of PEM Fuel Cell technology, including an insight into the state of the art of membranes and catalysts, and the design capabilities of AJUSA for bipolar plates, sealing gaskets, and PEM electrochemical cells.

Plug Power explained the operational advantages of their hydrogen fuel cells to drive more sustainable and efficient logistics, focusing on the mobility of last mile forklifts and vans.

After the coffee-networking break, Ballard Power Systems presented its flexible solutions and products for mobility and energy applications. After that, Hidrógenos del Nervión - H2PLANET shared its extensive experience in "plug and play" fuel cell equipment and complete system integration, as well as its capabilities in metal hydride storage.

Finally, Protio Power presented its plan for application-optimised BoP development and stack development with both commercial and in-house components.

After the presentations, around 20 B2B meetings were held, where those present had the opportunity to network with the fuel cell specialist speakers.

The presentations used during the conference are available on the BH2C website (https://www.bh2c.org/es), in the Technical Conferences documentation section. Access to this information is restricted by username and password.
