The Basque Hydrogen Corridor, winner of the "European H2 Valley of the Year" Award.

The President and Vice-President of the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C), José Ignacio Zudaire and Iñigo Ansola, have received in Brussels the European H2 Valley of the Year Award of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, a unique public-private partnership that supports research and innovation activities in hydrogen technologies in Europe.

The objective of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership is to strengthen and integrate the EU's scientific capabilities to accelerate the development and improvement of advanced clean hydrogen applications. The three members of the Partnership are the European Commission, the fuel cell and hydrogen industries represented by Hydrogen Europe, and the research community represented by Hydrogen Europe Research.

José Ignacio Zudaire, President of the BH2C and Director of People at Petronor, highlighted that "this award is wonderful news, and encourages us to continue along the path we started almost 3 years ago. Not only is the Basque Hydrogen Corridor an example of public-private collaboration, it is also involved in 37 initiatives across the entire hydrogen value chain, and is an integrated project. Furthermore, the BH2C is looking to turn the huge challenge of the energy transition into a major opportunity, and this can be done by making the project a driver at the service of industry and technology in the Basque Country".
