Projects
KINERGY FUEL CELL
Project description
The objective of the project is to define, design and develop a prototype hydrogen fuel cell system capable of operating off-grid. Based on a prototype bipolar plate stack with carbon-based composite materials, the aim is to develop a 20 kW fuel cell system that can operate off-grid with batteries. The complete BOP, including the EBoP, will be built, and specific parts of the whole system will be designed and developed using a virtual model to determine operational limits, define specific strategies and experimentally optimise plant balance components. The project also aims to develop a new FCCU specifically for use with this versatile fuel cell system for different applications.
