Design and development of compressed H2 transport and supply equipment for heavy vehicles

Project description

The project consists of maximising the efficiency of green H2 transport and logistics processes: : greater transport capacity, autonomy of renewable H2 at consumption points and, consequently, optimising the overall process (adapting production to the demand for renewable H2 for vehicles, minimising energy losses in the production process and all other technical and financial parameters).

The project is divided into four sub-projects:

-H2 semi-trailer for "range extender" tractor units.

-Mobile micro hydrogen refuelling station.

-High-capacity mobile gas pipelines.

-Refrigerated semi-trailer with fuel cell-powered electric refrigeration equipment.

Impacto medioambiental

Although it does not directly contribute to the production of green H2 or CO2reduction, stand-out features of the project include the promotion of renewable gases,the promotion of electric vehicles, reducing dependence on oil and coal, , improving alternative fuel recharging points and the increase, coordination, improvement and efficient use of energy and climate-related scientific and technological infrastructure and equipment. In addition, the project is also noteworthy for its contribution to the circular economy, as its use of quality materials, such as stainless steel, will promote greater durability of the connections of the mobile high-pressure storage equipment, thereby extending its useful life. This will be applicable in the case of producing hydrogen from biomass.
